City Chic Make History at Rosemont Fashion Week!

Wow City Chic will become the first EVER plus-size brand to be featured at the Australian Rosemont Fashion Week in Sydney this year - thursday the 20th of August 2009!!! Well i wanted to take that title oneday - but congrats City Chic - you guys have paved the way for small designers like me to get to Fashion Week!

Handmade Plus Size Clothing

Ok now reader beware this next site im gonna tell you about is so addictive!! If you haven't already - you need to check out Etsy.com - this is a place for all things handmade and vintage and personal fav of mine!! And its a haven for plus size treasures, alot of the sites do custom made so you can get that perfect fit!! Here are a few of my fav shop on Etsy.

She has some awesome outfits and sizes small to XXL (size 20), plus she does custom fit to your size - just send you measurements and she can set you up with a perfect fit! If you love rockabillyou you will love Miss Brache.

Her style is retro and fun, and i absolutly love the fabric she uses. The clothing goes up to US size 4-22 so about size 26 australian (actually she just emailed me and she goes up to size 32!! Woo Hoo!) . She also does custom aswell, so if you looking for something special and a little different - definitly check her out!!

I know there was a reason i brought Shop til you drop yesterday - I was just flicking through when i spotted the new section they have for plus size - it's a couple of pages - not much, but it's a start!

Beth Ditto's New Line - Yipeeeee

Wow - i just squeeled a little too loud and now i have this ringing in my ear.



I love the gossip - I have been following the brash Beth Ditto for a couple of years now and was excited to see what she would come up with and of course it's really good!! Again not for my shape, but its funky, and any girl would feel like a rock star wearing it!! Check out the link and let me know what you thoughts on her line are - good or bad!! Mind you 55 pounds for the Stain Glass dress is pretty much on par with the prices other Australian retailers once converted - so if you want your own piece of Beth - here's your chance!!

First Day Blogging

Well chickies here we are, thanks so much for looking at my blog - i hope you find it interesting and ladies dont be afraid to comment - i love it!!

i have so much to upload but so little time!! So firstly a little about me ladies

That's me up there!!! i love wigs!!! i have so many ive lost count! Im on my way to being a fashion designer for curvy girls, and fingers crossed one day i will have my own store!! I live in Adelaide, South Australia with my hubby brendan in our noahs ark - cats, dogs, cocky,fish, the occasional mouse!! My fav designer is Alannah Hill - she is my icon!! As im just as passionate about music as i am with fashion - i maybe a little obsessed with kings of leon, those followill boys just have some strange power over me!! But i go through phases like my nine inch nails phase, the killers phase (what happen to them by the way!! Spaceboy - come on!!). Anywho enough blabbering about me!!

I love to shop, but i hate shopping for me! I have shopped at all the plus size clothing retailers for the past 10 years and every year its the same stuff they pour out, and frankly 2009 has been the worst for Pears like me!! City Chic is ok - but the sizing is all worng for my shape, and the prices are pretty high for clothing that doesnt last as long - and way im gonna do a review on all you fav shops - any suggestions let me know!!
